- The housing agent is north of the entrance to the Varrock Sewers.
- Haig Halen is on the ground floor of the Varrock Museum.
- Elsie is located on the second floor of the Church of Saradomin in East Varrock.
- The cobwebbed corridor is near the end of the Varrock Sewers, after walking past the zombies and ghosts.
Rewards
A player wearing the reward from the easy tasks.
- Varrock armour 1 - When worn:
- Chance of smelting two bars at once when smelting ores up to and including steel in new Edgeville furnace. (Note that the two bars together count as only a single "use" when using the Ring of Forging.)
- Chance of Mining two ores at once when Mining ores up to and including coal.
- 16 Battlestaves may be bought from Zaff's staff shop on a daily basis.
- A higher chance at receiving Skull Sceptre part drops from monsters in the Stronghold of Security. Also, the Skull Sceptre has 10 charges instead of 5 when the armour is worn.

- An Antique lamp - 1,000 experience in any skill at least at level 30.

- White tree fruit is only available when Garden of Tranquility is finished.
- Oziach's shop is located at the northwest of Edgeville.
- You don't need to dig up another pendent to make into a digsite pendent, just enchant a ruby necklace after you learn the spell.

Hard task tips
A male and female player wearing the reward from the hard tasks.
- Players can use Spicy stew for various tasks that require a high level, if you have not reached it. This allows you a possible margin of 6 levels (I.E., level 64 farming for the bush, level 67 smithing for the helmet); however the 6 level boost is rare.
- There are other temporary boosts also. See related skill guides. For example, in Farming, a garden pie gives a 3 level boost or players could add a brown spicy stew boost of up to 6.
- Orlando will give you 5 kudos for each of the quests completed. After completing the Ghostly robes (miniquest), you will be able to receive 10 kudos.
- Help clean archaeological finds in the cleaning area and place them in their cases to earn 50 easy kudos from the museum.
- Buy your pies at the Grand exchange, instead of making them yourself
Rewards
- Varrock armour 3 - In addition to the easy and medium tasks' reward, when worn:
- Chance of smelting two bars at once when smelting ores up to and including adamantite in new Edgeville furnace.
- Chance of Mining two ores at once when Mining ores up to and including adamantite
- Access to new bank area in the Cooks' Guild 1st level with range in bank lobby
- Armour can be used to access the Cooks' Guild in place of chef's hat
- 64 Battlestaves are now available daily for purchase from Zaffs magic shop
- Option to change your Varrock teleport to the Grand Exchange by talking to Vannaka.
- An Antique lamp - 10,000 experience in the skill of your choice.
Trivia
- Orlando Smith is a nod to the character Indiana Jones from the Raiders of the Lost Ark movie.
- Interestingly enough, when the Defender of Varrock quest was released, the Kudos requirement stayed at 153 instead of the new total.
- From sometime no later than 13 May, 2009, until the 19 May, 2009 update, the Ancients Home Teleport did not register, making it impossible to complete the diary.
- If you cast home teleport in a Bounty hunter world, it does NOT count for completing the Hard task of using home teleport to teleport to Edgeville .
- The reward from all armours used to include better prices when buying and selling from Varrock stores, but was replaced with a higher chance at receiving Skull Sceptre parts on September second along with the Personalised Shops Update.
- When Elsie tells you a story about "Dissy" she is actually speaking about the Wise Old Man from Draynor.
